Heat Lamp vs. LED Bulb

Standard LED bulbs produce light efficiently with minimal heat output — ideal for illumination but not for keeping animals or food warm.

Red vs. Clear Heat Lamps

Red heat lamps emit a soft red glow that is less disruptive to animals' sleep cycles and may reduce pecking behavior in poultry. Clear lamps produce more visible white light alongside heat, which can disturb animals overnight. Red is the standard choice for brooder and coop applications.
