Light Bulq's Receptacles collection currently features a 250V NEMA 6-20R 20-amp industrial grade duplex outlet — a higher-voltage, higher-amperage receptacle used for air compressors, shop tools, commercial kitchen equipment, and other high-draw applications, not a standard 120V household outlet; for ground-fault protected outlets required in kitchens, bathrooms, and outdoor locations, see our GFCI Outlets collection.

NEMA 6-20R vs. Standard Household Receptacle

• NEMA 6-20R (this collection) — 250V, 20A, two flat parallel blades plus a round ground pin. Used for heavy commercial and industrial equipment that draws more power than a standard circuit provides.
• NEMA 5-15R (standard household) — 120V, 15A, the typical outlet found throughout most homes and offices. Not interchangeable with NEMA 6-20R.
• GFCI Outlets — 120V outlets with built-in ground-fault protection, required by code in kitchens, bathrooms, garages, and outdoor locations.
